Full Bore Tension Safety Joint RTTS Safety Joint 7”- 7 5/8" For Drill Stem Testing

The Full Bore Tension Safety Joint is an optional emergency backoff equipment in oil & gas well testing operation and TCP operation. The Full Bore Tension Safety Joint (TJ-1001) is a two stage disconnect tool which is run above the packer that allows the tubing to be disconnected from the tool string below it should the need arise

When the retrievable packer becomes stuck during DST operations, the RTTS safety joint will release the workstring and tools above the packer. To initiate release of the safety joint, a tension sleeve must be parted by pulling on the tubing. However, this action alone is not sufficient to release the joint but must be followed by application of vertical and rotational movement for complete release of the safety joint.
