Well Testing Equipment Super Safety Valve 8" x 15000 psi Drill Stem Testing

The Super Safety Valve is a BOP safety valve used in well testing service from a land or jack-up rig. The super safety valve is normally run inside or below the Blow Out Preventer (BOP) and is used to control well flow. The super safety valve is designed with a port for chemical injection downhole or to control a subsurface safety valve. The valve is capable of cutting wireline and coiled tubing using the nitrogen charge or by application of balance line pressure.

The super safety valve contains a new ball mechanism that has a 3.0 inch ID and the capability to cut coiled tubing as large as 1.50 inch OD x 0.125 inch wall thickness. During the design and testing of the 15K Super Safety Valve, a new high pressure plug assembly was qualified for 15000 psi.
